What are Lifetime Subscriptions?
Lifetime subscriptions are one-time purchases that give you permanent access to a service without recurring payments. Think of software licenses, lifetime app upgrades, or one-time membership fees.
How to Add a Lifetime Purchase
When adding or editing a subscription:
- In the Billing Cycle dropdown, select "Lifetime"
- Enter the one-time cost you paid
- Set the purchase date as the billing date
- Save your subscription
That's it! Vexly will now track this as a lifetime investment.
Where Lifetime Purchases Appear
Lifetime subscriptions are treated differently from recurring subscriptions:
- Separate Section: They appear in a dedicated "Lifetime Investments" section in your Analytics
- Cost Calculations: They don't count toward your active monthly subscription costs
- No Renewals: The billing date never updates since there are no future payments
- Historical Tracking: Perfect for seeing how much you've invested in permanent tools and services
