Date showing wrong day
Why selected dates appear one day earlier and how to fix timezone issues
Date Showing Wrong Day
If you select a date in Vexly and it appears as one day earlier (for example, selecting today shows as yesterday), this is a timezone issue.
The Problem
This issue primarily affects users in negative UTC timezones, such as UTC-5 (Eastern Time). When you select a date from the calendar picker, it may display as the previous day due to timezone conversion.
The Solution
This issue has been fixed in recent updates. If you're still experiencing date display problems:
- Refresh the page or clear your browser cache
- Set your timezone in Settings:
- Go to Settings in the Vexly app
- Find the timezone configuration option
- Select your correct timezone
How Vexly Handles Timezones
Vexly now properly respects your local timezone across the app:
- Dashboard dates: Use your configured timezone for display
- Notifications: You can specify your timezone in notification settings
- Calendar view: Respects your local timezone to prevent date shifts
Still Seeing Issues?
If dates are still showing incorrectly after setting your timezone and refreshing:
- Double-check that your timezone is correctly set in Settings
- Clear your browser cache completely
- If using the PWA, try reinstalling it
